Helping you to find the best option for dealing with project waste
RSK has managed waste arisings from many projects, primarily in the Iraqi oilfields. We can help you to determine the different waste types, develop the best methods for collecting them and assess how to recycle, reuse or dispose of them safely.
We are currently working on finding ways of dealing with difficult waste such as oil-based sludge. This work will ensure that these waste materials can be recovered and, where possible, the elements reused, with the residual materials then being incinerated or disposed of to landfill.
For some Kurdistan oilfields, we have designed and overseen the installation of specific site-based waste management facilities, including reed beds and incinerators, at drilling exploration and production sites.
We have also carried out an environmental impact assessment for a new waste management centre in Rumaila oilfield in Iraq.
