RSK’s qualified surveyors conduct asbestos surveys to help identify the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACM) and their risks to human health. Our team then works with clients to develop an asbestos register logging the nature and location of potential ACMs and assists with risk management.
Our asbestos capabilities are underpinned by the expertise from our international business and we can undertake asbestos identification tests at our newly ISO/IEC 17025 accredited geoenvironmental laboratory near Basra. As part of our commitment to local communities, we are also training our Iraqi graduate surveyors to become competent in asbestos surveying.
We have successfully managed numerous asbestos removals with approved removal contractors. In southern Iraq, we have completed major management surveys for international oil companies, including at oilfield processing plant facilities and at marine facilities and terminals.
