RSK’s highly experienced and qualified radiological team works with clients to manage their naturally occurring radioactive material (NORM) hazards using practical radiological engineering approaches.
We provide a full life-cycle NORM management programme for finding solutions to difficult radiological and environmental hazards. This includes professional support and advice from the development of conceptual survey designs through to radiological surveys and waste management support. We also provide training courses on radiation protection and waste management, and can tailor these to suit your needs.
Our project experience in Iraq includes NORM contamination surveys of degassing stations for BP and Shell, and a radiological risk assessment for a NORM-contaminated water pit in the Rumaila oilfield.
