Experts in risk-based quantitative soil and groundwater assessments
RSK’s geoenvironmental specialists, including a team of in-house Iraqi environmental technicians and engineers, help clients to understand the nature and extent of contamination in soil and groundwater. We then quantify the potential risks posed to human health and the environment.
We provide a turnkey service for planning, managing and interpreting the whole programme of work. This includes drilling boreholes, installing groundwater monitoring wells and analysing soil and groundwater samples at our ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory in Iraq Energy City, Basra. We also maintain long-term groundwater monitoring programmes, interpret environmental risks and liabilities, and design cost-effective management plans and remedial strategies.
We have carried out baseline soil and groundwater assessments for various projects in Iraq, including for the Rumaila, Majnoon, West Qurna and Zubair oilfields.
