Comprehensive chemical testing capabilities at our integrated laboratory
RSK has the first fully accredited, integrated geoenvironmental laboratory in Iraq. The laboratory, in Iraq Energy City, gained accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025 in 2015 and provides chemical and geotechnical testing services for a range of projects.
On the chemical side, we offer a complete suite of organic testing, primarily for volatile hydrocarbons that are detrimental to human health. These tests support groundwater and soil baseline studies, risk assessments, the classification of materials to be remediated and the verification of the remediation once it is complete.
With a range of automated, industry-standard equipment available, including two gas chromatography-flame ionisation detector units, we can test about 40 samples at a time. We draw on the expertise of our international business to analyse test results. We also plan to train local nationals to carry out preparatory organic testing work in the laboratory.
