The release, which was printed in Iraq Business News, Iraqi Dinar News Today, Iraq Daily Journal, Business & Economy Digest, Investors Iraq, Sahara Economic Development Organization, Dinar Guru and Basra40, focuses on the current recruitment drive for increasing the number of local Iraqis working in laboratory technician positions. RSK in Iraq is offering jobs for graduates with relevant degrees from local universities.
Sean Gamble, director and Iraq country manager, told the press, “We have jobs to offer to recently graduated geologists, chemists, environmentalists and engineers. If you are from one of the local universities and have a recent degree in these disciplines, we would be very interested in talking to you.”
The laboratory, which has only been operational since May 2014, became the first combined geoenvironmental laboratory in Iraq to achieve the International Organization for Standardization and International Electrotechnical Commission accreditation (ISO 17025 certification) earlier this year. It currently employs nearly 20 staff, including a small team of management staff from RSK’s UK laboratories who train and supervise the growing band of graduate scientists from nearby Iraqi neighbourhoods.
