Using top-of-the-range equipment to measure surface elevations above and below the water
RSK is highly experienced in carrying out topographic and bathymetric surveys to measure surface elevations above and below the water.
Our team of land surveyors uses modern total stations, global positioning systems, laser scanners and digital levels to produce topographical maps contoured to show changes in land surface elevation and pick up physical structures such as buildings, roadways and pipelines. Our project experience in Iraq includes the Shell Majnoon oilfield project; an overhead transmission line project and early works road projects in Rumaila oilfield; and the Qarmat Ali water pipeline route.
For bathymetric surveying, we have a top-of-the-range, digital, dual-frequency echo sounder that we use to produce charts of seabeds, riverbeds and lakebeds. We have completed many bathymetric surveys for projects in Iraq, including the Qarmat Ali water intake project and the K44 water abstraction plant.
